Dr. Meenakshi College of Teacher Education situated in Muraiyar Village, Chengam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District. It is an exclusive College for Teacher Education established by the Dr. Meenakshi Educational Trust to promote excellence in Teacher Education.

• Dr. Meenakshi College of Teacher Education is situated in Muraiyar village near Chengam. It is the only B.Ed., college functioning in this rural area surrounded by a number of villages

• This college was started in 2008 with the objective of promoting quality teacher education to the educationally and economically disadvantaged students who are mostly first generation learners.

• The staff of the college is well experienced, capable of producing dedicated & disciplined teachers who can shape the destiny of India

• The college is situated on the Bangalore highways from Tiruvannamalai to Chengam with good transport facilities

• Regarding the infrastructure facilities we like to state that we have a good library with more than 5000 books, journals and magazines, big play ground, a well equipped computer lab, psychology lab, physical science and Biological Laboratories.

• The students participate in many events involved with the people of the surroundings. A lot of social service camps, awareness programs and state and central government projects are undertaken by college.
